Battle Of The Bands Update!!!!!

I know, I know, I am a slacker. I have not taken any time lately to write. I could say that the new job is keeping me busy, but the truth is I am just lazy.

So here is the big update.

As you may already know, I play drums for the band at Central Christian Church, in Lawrenceville, GA. A little over a month ago we entered a "Battle of the Bands" that was being hosted by a local radio station. We made the first cut and was put into the top 20. The top 20 bands were posted on the radio station's website and the listeners voted. Well, the votes have been calculated and we are finalists. Central, along with 9 other bands were selected to perform this Saturday at Six Flags Over Georgia. We will all be opening for the back to school concert featuring Stellar Kart, Barlowgirl, and Pillar. As I said before, the winner gets a $10,000 sound system.

If you are in the Atlanta area and can spare $30, come out and support us and then see a great concert. Get there early, it looks like the bands will start playing at 11am, and we will not know the order until the morning of the show.
