Starting up again

Well, here we go again. I am going to try to do this a little better this time and really get some thoughts out here. I am out of school for the summer and as of now, summer job prospects are slim. It is looking like I could possibly get a job with the Atlanta Braves but that my limit my availability for Worship Band on Thursdays and Church on Sundays when the Braves are in town, but i have to do something. It's not an emergency yet, but lets just say that Faith's income alone is not enough to keep us above water.

I have really felt God moving in my life lately. I have not felt this in a few months but He always has a way of grabbing me and shaking me until I open my eyes to Him. God has really used some people that are in my life in amazing ways and to be honest, I don't even think they know that God is using them. more than anything God has given me a huge affirmation that I am in the right place right now. It's amazing how God can just make things work out.

Last night was band rehearsal at Central. All in all it was really good. We got off to a late start which is usual (and really needs to stop) but we were able to move fairly quickly through a challenging set and I am really excited to see how it all comes out on Sunday. It's going to be a lot of fun and VERY powerful, so if you are in the area, make it a point to be there.

We also got to hear our first decent recording since we have started to record our Sunday services. The recording was from a few weeks ago when Jake Power led worship and although all the tracks are not great, there are a few that are simply amazing and powerful (especially since it is a single track recording from an Aux Send on the main sound console). We should be upgrading our recording capabilities soon, and I really look forward to being able to record some good music to put on a CD for all of our friends at Central and beyond.

Argh, here come the rain, and I am picking up a security shift on campus tonight. Its gonna be a wet one.
