Well, today has been rough. I started going to the gym yesterday and I had a pretty good upper body workout and now I am really paying the price. i can feel my arms getting more sore by the minute. What really sucks is that I know tomorrow is going to be my lower body and that is really going to suck. But regardless of the soreness, I am going to stick with it. I am going to really commit myself to getting in better shape before school starts back in the fall. I figure that I can loose at least 25lbs by going to the gym everyday. Right now I am walking on the treadmill at a very brisk 3.5 mph with a 6% incline for approx 30-45 minutes (the usual duration of the next sermon on my iPod). After the walking (I wish I had the stamina or strength in my knee to run, hope I can start running or at least jogging the same amount of time in a week or so) I move on to the weights. Upper body yesterday, Lower body today and alternating every day.
Church today was good, although I would not say it was great. We had lower than normal attendance due to the holiday and I really think it impacted the energy in the room. We had 2 new songs this week with the best one being Chris Tomlin's "Sing, Sing, Sing" It would have been great if there was a little bit more of a response. Things were lacking for a couple of songs but really picked back up with Jake leading "Jesus Paid It All" That song always speaks to me in a way most others don't.
Worship led into a very spirit-led sermon by Stephen. It was special to just know that the spirit was speaking through him to what felt like only me. we ended the service with a great rendition of Steve Fee's "All Because of Jesus"
All in all, a good day. Maybe more to come later tonight as I work from 11pm-7am

Way to go public with your new fitness goals.
I wrote on article in January called "4 Steps to Living Your Resolutions." Perhaps you'll find it helpful.
